Lots of neighborhood friends help keep CMD whistling during the week (we’ve spent some serious time with the lovely folks at the post office, for one). One of our favorite things about keeping our showroom and studio in the Mission district of San Francisco is the sense of community among local shopkeepers and patrons alike. […]

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from Colleen Mauer Designs! We’re spending this sunshine-filled California day celebrating all things lucky: especially those of the gold variety. While we think every day is the perfect time to drape ourselves in golden layers, it seems especially fitting to highlight this lucky metal on March 17. Just don’t forget to […]

A recent addition is our cinq […]

The other night, after a 10+ hour work day, I went home and sifted through a box of jewelry created shortly after Colleen Mauer Designs launched in 2005. I came across delicately strung beads and the beginning stages of my now signature wire-wrapped designs; beautiful relics of my personal and professional growth. Each year that […]

Please join us on Thursday, September 24th from 5pm – 8pm  It blows my mind (and swells my heart) to think it’s been a full decade since I began creating jewelry in Hayes Valley apartment. When I started my little company I had no idea what the future would hold, and after ten years of […]

The word ritual means, among other things, “a series of actions or type of behavior regularly and invariably followed by someone.” While several rituals run deep around the CMD Studio (Friday night wine sessions, for example) nothing is more dependable and anticipated then our at-home morning coffee. As someone who likes a strong kick to […]
