The word ritual means, among other things, “a series of actions or type of behavior regularly and invariably followed by someone.” While several rituals run deep around the CMD Studio (Friday night wine sessions, for example) nothing is more dependable and anticipated then our at-home morning coffee. As someone who likes a strong kick to get the AM rolling, we ritualistically make a mouthwatering Caffè Americano each and every day. The infamous Stumptown Coffee of Portland, Oregon (particularly the Ethiopian Mordecofe blend) always gets us humming, even if it’s before the sun comes up. And naturally, an exquisitely designed mug to sip from helps us pause and enjoy the moment, so we’re faithful to our Heath Ceramics mug. Brewing up a perfect Americano with a stellar view of the ocean makes every morning sweet, no matter how early we rise. What are your favorite daily rituals?
