TOMS shoes: A great way to be fashionable and give back!

For back to school Glik’s is getting a new shipment of the extremely popular and globally conscious shoe brand, TOMS. TOMS has been able to create a line of shoes that are comfortable, stylish and give back. For every pair of TOMS that are purchased, a little child in a need receives a pair of shoes. Shoes are very important in lower income countries because a lot of diseases are passed through soil and cuts that are a product of bare feet are very susceptible to bacteria. Also many schools require shoes so children who don’t have them are unable to go.

TOMS began as a simple canvas shoe in a few colors and is now in multiple fabrics and styles. Coming to Glik’s for fall are some of the classic styles in colors like black, olive, red and ash. These are the perfect flats to wear with pretty much anything and have already had to put in a second order for the classic style. A favorite color here in the office for this style is Ash, which is semi-dark grey. Also for the gentlemen out there: we are carrying the burlap TOMS and classic black canvas in men’s. The ones that I am especially excited about are the fabulous GLITTER TOMS that we are getting in gold and silver. These are defiantly statement shoes that are will demand attention and will look especially amazing with black, white or denim clothing. Another shoe that we are getting in is the snow leopard print flat. Leopard print is so hot for fall !!!!

Also coming in is a shoe that reads Love Is The New Black, which is keeping with TOMS trend of world peace and equality.

This is the first season that TOMS will be selling their brand new style, which is a wedge shoe with an open toe. These are super comfortable but still give you that height for people who like having those few extra inches. Wedges are not only much easier to walk in then heels of that height, but have been a really hot trend all year, and still are for this fall.
