The North Face: Boards 4 Breast Cancer

As the temperature slowly drops and cooler weather closes in we begin to see sleeves lengthen, fabrics thicken and chilly weather gear arrive by the cart full. I’m not complaining by any means because the indian summer is my favorite time of the year. I have grown tired of my summer gear and the idea of adding layers is very appealing. Besides, who can say no to snuggling up in a warm, comfy blanket and falling asleep bundled up in blissful fleece?

In recent weeks a surplus of fall styles from The North Face have been hanging out by my desk (I also write the web content for gliks.com, fun stuff) and with all the new styles of fleece arriving, I have to say my favorite so far is the B4BC (Boarding 4 Breast Cancer) Collection from The North Face.

The first to arrive from The North Face’s B4BC Collection were the Khumbu Pink Ribbon Jacket and the Pink Ribbon Osito Jacket. Needless to say, the “few” styles that we received were not nearly enough to fill the overwhelming demand for this hot item!

Well, this year is different. We planned ahead by doubling our orders PLUS we’ve added a few new styles: the Pink Ribbon Masonic Full Zip Hoodie and the Pink Ribbon Denali Jacket to our arsenal of Breast Cancer Research supporting apparel!

I have to be perfectly honest… I pulled out my goose down comforter last night and was quite excited to do so. As my wardrobe slowly transitions from summer to autumn and the vast collection of North Face apparel that I own will have to make way for a few of the B4BC styles!

According to cancer.org:

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women, except for skin cancers. About 1 in 8 (12%) women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.

Help show your support by wearing the B4BC Collection this October for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  The North Face will make an annual donation to Boards 4 Breast Cancer to help support their journey to educate and inspire young adults.

Expect to see even MORE styles emerging onto gliks.com from The North Face and other major outerwear brands like Under Armour and Columbia! I promise to keep you all updated on the arrival of these hot items!
