I’m with the Band-eau

FINALLY, we have an excuse to let our bras show! What makes this possible?  Bandeaus, and they are ESSENTIAL to any fashionista’s wardrobe. They’re like a special gift from the fashion gods given to women all over in a variety of colors, fabrics, and patterns. Whether you prefer lace, crochet, sequins, and florals, animal print, or tribal print, there is a bandeau for you!

The bandeau’s story is special. This unique article of clothing has come a long way from it’s early years of being hidden beneath layers of clothing as underwear and then granted the opportunity to prove it’s fashionable skills in the swimwear community. Now, the bandeau has broken free of its trendy chains and made its way into the mainstream!

Pair a bandeau with anything, and I’m sure you will not be let down. If worn the right way, this stylish strip of fabric can be a chic fashion choice to show a little skin while still maintaining a classy appearance!

I consider myself a “mad-style scientist” and like to experiment with what I wear. I know that I am not alone in admitting that I have splurged on a few tops and dresses where a conventional bra is just out of the question while wearing the prized garment. Whether it’s the large armholes, the design of the back and straps, or the fit of the garment, these give my good ‘ole standard bra a run for its money.

My new go-to is a bandeau, and it has been saving my fashion forward soul for some time now! With the comeback of high-waisted bottoms, wearing a chic bandeau and letting only a small glimpse of skin show is becoming popular.

I realize that not every fashionista is comfortable with her silhouette in the same way, and this trend may not be for everyone. Even if you’re not sold on the “glance of skin” look, most stylish souls can find a way to best wear the bandeau within their own comfort zone.

Padded Bandeau

Usually under $10, bandeaus are a chic investment. Most bandeaus are lined, and some will come with cup pads that can be removed. PLUS don’t fret if you have “more to spare” in that department than others; bandeaus are made of comfortable, supportive and durable materials like spandex and elastic.

Bandeaus have come a long way since their early days, and I foresee that bandeaus will be here to stay. They are super fun to wear and can majorly upgrade any outfit!  Visit us online at gliks.com for all of your bandeau needs, or stop by any of our Glik’s store locations to test out any of your stylish ideas.
