Reflecting on a Beautiful 2013

As this action-packed year winds to a close, I can’t help but sit in front of my fireplace (with a glass of my favorite grapes) and reflect on the beautiful whirlwind of the last twelve months. My thrilling trip to Dwell on Design in Los Angeles was fulfilling on a professional and personal level, and I am so grateful for all the new clients I met during that trip. Crazily enough CMD is already preparing for Dwell next June, so stay tuned! August brought a much-needed East Coast trip, my first experience at NYNOW, and the addition of my glowing sister Shannon to the CMD team! A true dream come true. CMD is prepping for another NYC trip mid-January, with exclusive designs that will be available online in February, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.

Though it hasn’t gotten much chatter on the blog, the new CMD location is an extraordinary work in progress. We rather serendipitously fell into this perfect home, which is a mere hop, skip & jump from Secession. This transition was absolutely meant to be, and shortly we will fling open the doors to each of you. Rather reflectively, I spent Christmas Eve 2013 at Secession with our beautiful neighbors (and the delicious chocolates and whiskey above). Though the day was crazy busy, it felt like many neighbors were just stopping by to spread well wishes. What a wonderful evening – full of smiles! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who contributes to CMD. I am floored by the love, and ecstatic to share 2014 with you. Happiest of New Years to you and yours.
